Iskandar Malaysia resides in the city of Johor Bahru, a land enriched with cultural arts and heritage.
People of Johor are called ‘Johoreans’. Just like other parts of Malaysia, the community in Iskandar Malaysia are multi-racial and from all walks of life. Apart from our native Malay people, the second larger group are the Chinese and Indians. The expatriate community is also growing at a fast pace, in tandem with the developments which had mushroomed over the years.
While majority of Johoreans speak the mother tongue of Bahasa Malaysia, English and Chinese is widely spoken as well. A tourist or visitor will not have much problem where communication is concerned.
