Delivery Excellence

To provide effective and efficient public service, and world-class infrastructure, both soft and hard, to benefit the Rakyat and businesses.

Driving Delivery Excellence

Strong collaboration between the public and private sectors is crucial to attract investments and expertise from the private sector to deliver public infrastructure and services in Iskandar Malaysia. IRDA continually identifies and facilitates Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiatives that have the potential to deliver the much-needed infrastructure in Iskandar Malaysia.

IRDA continues to drive the Iskandar Malaysia Bus Rapid Transit (IMBRT) project, the largest PPP initiative within its purview.

Another example of a PPP initiative being explored is the development of the Iskandar Malaysia Urban Forest Park using innovative PPP models. Through collaboration with several government agencies and the private sector, the aim to create a ‘Garden City in Iskandar Malaysia’ via increasing the number of trees and parks as well as rehabilitating forest areas can be achieved. Private-sector investments in areas such as solar and renewable energy are also being explored, with private parties to contribute to the establishment of Urban Forest Park infrastructure as part of their larger investments

The Iskandar Malaysia Urban Observatory (IMUO) focuses on sharing data between selected agencies, facilitating information exchange between the government and stakeholders. The Observatory functions as a ‘single window’ where data is collected and analysed to provide the government, businesses and citizens access to timely information for more informed decision making

The bus terminal at CIQ Bangunan Sultan Iskandar is acutely congested with numerous public and factory buses operating during peak hours
