Iskandar Malaysia Youth Entrepreneur Scheme (IMYES) programme was introduced by Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) in 2021 as part of an effort to assist youth group who were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and border closure, to reduce youth unemployment and to encourage youth to be involved in entrepreneurship by providing upskilling and reskilling training as well as business grant.

IMYES 2.0 programme offers business grant worth RM10,000 and free 6 entrepreneurship classes to 140 youth entrepreneurs. The objectives of this programme is to assist youth entrepreneurs in recovery of business operations during post-pandemic phase, to ensure that entrepreneurs remain resilient and able to achieve better business performance, to reduce youth unemployment, and to encourage youth to be involved in entrepreneurship.


  • Malaysian youth aged 18 to 40 years old.

  • Reside and operate business in Johor.

  • Open to new and existing entrepreneurs.


  • Businesses must be registered with SSM and Syariah-compliance.

  • The scope of this grant, worth RM10,000, is for the purchase of machinery and equipment, marketing and promotion, and raw materials only.

  • Only those who submit the complete registration form and supporting documents will be considered for the Selection Process.

  • Successful applicants are required to attend 6 entrepreneurship classes.

  • IRDA staff(s) are not eligible to apply for this programme.

  • Applicant with any family or close personal friendship interest with IRDA staff is eligible to apply provided a declaration of interest form must be filled in during the registration. 

  • Any decision made by the IMYES Committee is final.
